Paolo Mongillo
Assistant research professor | Veterinary physiology
I graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 2006 at the University of Padua. In 2010 I obtained a PhD in ‘Veterinary Science’, studying the effect of ageing on cognitive and emotional aspects in pet dogs. In 2012 I obtained a permanent position as assistant research professor and from 2019 I am an Associate Professorin of Veterinary Physiology at the University of Padua.
My research focuses on canine cognition and perception, with a specific interest for visual processing.
I am co-founder and president of a spin-off of the University of Padova, the Center for Canine Behavioural Studies, that offers education for canine professionals.
Take a look at the DogUP lab research page to find out about my research interests.
